Short, because there is not much here yet. This site is a preview of a product that has not launched, plus some guides. These terms cover both.
Who runs this site
This site is run by Michael Barrows, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as Openhold. Contact: privacy@openhold.co.uk.
The guides are information, not advice
Our guides explain how parts of English and Welsh leasehold law generally work. They are general information only.
- They are not legal advice, and reading them does not make us your adviser.
- They are not a substitute for a solicitor, and we will always tell you to get one where it matters.
- Your lease governs. Two blocks on the same street can have different answers.
- The law changes, and leasehold law is changing quickly. A guide is accurate as at the date it was last reviewed, and not necessarily after.
We write these carefully and we correct them when we are wrong. But we cannot accept liability for anything you do, or do not do, in reliance on them. If a decision matters, take proper advice on your own facts. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The early access list
Joining the list is not a contract, a purchase, or a reservation. It means we will email you when Openhold opens to its first buildings. Openhold is in development, and nothing on this site is a promise that a particular feature will exist, or that the product will launch at all. You can leave the list at any time.
Our content
The words, design and code on this site belong to Michael Barrows. You are welcome to read them, quote them with a link back, and share them. You may not republish them as your own.
Where we reproduce or summarise legislation, that material is Crown copyright and reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
